Quick & Easy Travel Tip: Print Boarding Passes Early

Quick and Easy Travel Tips from www.TheHungryTravelerBlog.com #travel #tips

Quick & Easy Travel Tip #2

When flying, print your boarding pass as early as possible.  Checking in early saves your seat and prevents getting bumped to a different flight.

About 24 hours prior to your flight, your airline will email you saying that it’s time to check in.  Don’t ignore this email.  Make sure to check in and print your boarding pass as early as possible. If you haven’t claimed your seat and you’re running late the day of your flight, it’s still possible for the agent to bump you to a different flight.  Not only will checking in early lower the risk of getting bumped, but you’ll also save a bit of time at the airport.  I prefer to use the mobile boarding passes offered by most airlines and just download my boarding pass to my phone.
